Marjorie Jane Dunbar

Marjorie Jane Bledsoe Dunbar, age 92, of Moberly, MO, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at home.

Marjorie was born on November 9, 1932, in Moberly, MO, to JA & Martha Fern Bledsoe. She graduated from Moberly High School and worked as a bookkeeper at Moberly Jr. College, Montgomery Wards, and JC Penneys. Her last position was with OPAA Food Services for 27 years after retiring from JC Penneys.

She married John Dunbar on August 29, 1954, in Moberly, MO. They later divorced. To this union four children were born – Valerie, Mike, Linda and Paul David.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband, John Dunbar; siblings, Geradine, Laurence, Lester; and a granddaughter, Sara Beth.

She is survived by her four children, Valerie (Ron) Kampfer, Mike (Donna) Dunbar, Linda (Bob) Kings, and Paul David Dunbar; six grandsons, Ryan, Chris, Frankie, Bob, Austin, Gabe; six great grandsons; three great great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, close friends and extended family.

A memorial service celebrating Marjorie’s life has been scheduled for Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 12:00 noon at Pathway Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 noon. Inurnment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Moberly.
