Mark Todd Morgan

UPDATE: Mark Morgan's services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Timber Lake Christian Church in Moberly, MO. Visitation from Noon - time of service. Memorial service at 3:00 pm.

Mark Todd Morgan, age 64, of Moberly, MO, went home to be with the Lord on December 20, 2022, at Aspire Senior Living.

Mark was born on May 16, 1958, in Moberly, MO, to B.N. “Ben” and Lela Walker Esry Morgan. He graduated from Moberly High School, and from Linn Tech in 1978 with a degree in accounting. Mark explored several careers in his lifetime, including sales work at Thompson TV, Moberly Motor Company and KWIX-KRES-KIRK before his retirement in November of 2016.

Mark was a member of the Timber Lake Christian Church. He married Sheryl E. Franklin on May 5, 1984, in Moberly, MO. Mark was a socially active man who was deeply involved in Timber Lake Christian Church and the activities there. He enjoyed traveling, following Cardinal baseball, playing marbles with his grandson, Jase, drinking coffee with friends and good conversation. His family and friends will always remember him as wonderful husband, “Poppy”, dad, father-in-love, brother, uncle, storyteller, jokester, big laugher, Santa, and a great friend to all.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Karen and Sherri; brother, Jim; father-in-law, Gil Franklin; niece, Deona Elms; and a great-niece, Debra Sly.

Mark is survived by his wife, Sheryl, Moberly, MO; sons, Joshua (Leah) Morgan, Steelville, MO, Ben (Beca) Morgan, Gainsville, TX, Andy Morgan, Moberly, MO; grandchildren, Jase, Kaydon, Lilly, Lila, Tessa and Juniper; brothers, Kim (Marilyn) Esry and Terry Esry, both of Moberly, MO; mother-in-law, Ellie Franklin, Cairo, MO; brother-in-law, Charles (Glenda) Winkler, Moberly, MO; many very loved nieces and nephews; close friend, Jenny Walters; a beloved church family and many extended family and friends.

UPDATE: Mark Morgan's services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Timber Lake Christian Church, 1624 Gratz-Brown St, Moberly, MO 65270. A visitation is scheduled for Noon – 3:00 pm at Timber Lake, prior to the service.
