Martha D. Churchill, 79, of Moberly, MO, passed away March 21st, 2019, at University Hospital in Columbia, MO.
Martha was born on September 14th, 1939 in Beardstown, IL to John and Iona (Karr) Dutch. She graduated from Beardstown High and attended college at Culver Stockton in Canton, MO. In 1958, Martha moved to Springfield, IL and accepted a position as an elevator operator at C.I.P.S., where she worked for more than fifteen years.
Martha was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was a wonderful person and fantastic homemaker. On July 23rd, 1967 Martha married David Churchill in Riverton, IL. Her family and friends will always remember her as kind hearted and devoted to her faith in God.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents.
She leaves behind her husband, David Churchill of Moberly, MO; her son, Mark (Brenda) Churchill of Moberly, MO, their 8 children, and 6 grandchildren; her daughter, Sarah (Bob) Hardy of Moberly; their children, Jamie Hardy, Nicole (Brett) Soendker, Hannah Hardy and Hailey Hardy all of Moberly; their grandchildren, Karlye Hardy, Kehlan Hardy, Brody Soendker, Chase Soendker, and Peyton Soendker all of Moberly; extended family and friends.
A Memorial Service celebrating Martha’s life will be held Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
