Mary “Mollie” G. Ealy, 86, of Moberly, MO passed away on March 11, 2021 at Macon Health Care Center. She was born on March 6, 1935 in Moberly, MO to J. Fred Kelly and Della (Palmatory) Kelly. Mollie was a Moberly High School graduate and worked as a Southwestern Bell operator for many years before they closed. She then went to work for Toastmaster and later, Everlast, from which she eventually retired. Mollie enjoyed completing jigsaw puzzles, reading romantic novels and taking drives in the country. She also loved all things Christmas related and anything brass. People who knew her would say that she was a very “Independent Soul”. Mollie is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Justin Ealy; special friend, Clifford P. Brown and her brother, Jack Kelly. Survivors include her children, Jimmy “Jay” (Norma) Ealy of Moberly and Debra Kay (Deryl) Gosseen of Cairo; grandchildren, Deryl (Tiffany) Gosseen of Wellsville, Derick (Jill) Gosseen of Madison and Dieke (Ashley) Gosseen of Hallsville; 9 great grandchildren; cousins, Dee (Marian) Embree and Linda (Larry) Foster all of Moberly; dear friend, Bonnie Flickinger of Florida and extended family and friends. Family would like to send a special “Thank You” to the staffs of Macon Health Care Center and Macon Hospice Compassus. A memorial service celebrating Mollie’s life will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. An inurnment at the Huntsville City Cemetery will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions in Mollie’s honor may be made to the donor’s charity of choice. Condolences may be shared online at pathwaymemorial.com
