Mary Jane Schwieter

Mary J. Schwieter of Moberly, Missouri, passed away of Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Boone Hospital Center, Columbia, Missouri. Mary was born August 21, 1942 in Clark, Missouri to Glen and Gladys (Foley) Watkins. She and Charles W. Schwieter were married October 1, 1963 in Moberly, Missouri. She was the most generous person to anyone who knew her. She enjoyed birdwatching, feeding wildlife, and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 42 years, Charles W. “Charlie” Schwieter, Sr.; son, Charles W. Schwieter, Jr.; and sister, Helen Ivie. Survivors include her daughter, Marsha Sheffield and husband Dana; grandchildren: Justin Schwieter, Julia Schwieter, and Jacob Schwieter; sister-in-law, Doris Jean Smith; nephews: Ronnie Smith and Joshua Smith and their families. Mary is also survived by her extended family and friends: Paula and Roy Carrol, Jordan Sexton, Jarica Sexton, Alma and Harry Overly, Sheri Overly, Brenda and Scott Howard, Krystal and Wes Rubison and family, and Amanda and Michael Chilton and family. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. on the family farm for close family and friends.
