Melvin Gravitt

Melvin Douglas Gravitt, 79, of Moberly, MO passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Moberly Regional Medical Center. Melvin was born on April 17, 1941 in Moberly, MO to Herschel Gravitt and Mildred (Brooks) Gravitt. Melvin was a lifelong resident of the Randolph County area. He attended Moberly Public Schools. After graduation, he worked for the City of Moberly’s Sanitation Department until retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed tinkering with his cars, and above all else, he loved playing with his grandchildren. Melvin will always be remembered as a helpful man. He was always going out of his way to help others, especially his family. He will be greatly missed. Melvin is preceded in death by his parents, Herschel and Mildred; and brothers, Fred and Charles Gravitt. Survivors include his lifetime friend, Lori Owens of Clark, MO; son, Eric (Bess) Siebuhr of Moberly, MO; grandchildren, Meredith and Kye Siebuhr of Moberly, MO; brother, Donald Gravitt of Moberly, MO; extended family and close friends. Services celebrating Melvin Douglas Gravitt’s life will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery, in Moberly. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the donor’s charity of choice.
