Michael Ray Henderson, 60 of Moberly, passed away at his home on August 26, 2021 with his family and several friends by his side.
Mike was born on August 11, 1961 in Moberly to Orville Henderson and Shirley Stinnett. He was a lifelong resident of Randolph County. Mike was a graduate of Cairo High School and obtained an Associate’s Degree from Moberly Area Community College. In 1984 he married Patsy Apel at the Union Avenue Christian Church in Moberly and the two had 37 years of adventures together.
Mike was well known and well liked in his community. He was a laborer who could do most anything asked of him. Mike worked for Carter Memorial for 29 years. He was also a member of Timberlake Christian Church and a member of the Moberly Moose Lodge. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Those preceding Mike in death are his parents, Orville and Shirley Henderson; his maternal and paternal grandparents; his brother, Mark Henderson; his nephew, Jesse Henderson and several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Patsy Henderson of Moberly; son, Donnie (Kylene) Henderson of Huntsville; daughter, Jennifer (Nick) Barnett of Moberly; grandchildren, Katie Henderson and Gabby Henderson of Huntsville and Maddie Barnett of Moberly; sister, Sandy Henderson of Moberly; nephews, Dallas (Jennifer Hunter) Henderson of Lawson, MO, Christopher Gittemeier of Kansas City, Mo and Travis Gittemeier of Oklahoma; uncles, Raymond (Barb) Henderson of Huntsville and Gene (Candy) Stinnett of St. Charles, MO; aunt, Joyce Sharp of Gladstone, MO; extended family and many good friends.
A memorial gathering for Mike’s family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. An inurnment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
