Mona E. Shannon

Mona E. Shannon, 97, of Moberly passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Moberly Regional Hospital. She was born November 17, 1915 to Mont and Mary Tremain of Sumner, MO. Mona married Leroy “Pete” Shannon on August 13, 1935. Leroy preceded her in death March 17, 2011. Mona is survived by three sons: Donald Shannon of Moberly, Richard and Elizabeth “Susie” Shannon of Madison, and Monty Shannon of Coal City, IL; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; sisters: Nadine Brown of Moberly and Carol Riley of Middle Grove, MO; and one brother, Lowell and Marie Tremain of Streator, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leroy “Pete”; son, Norman; and eight siblings. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly from 10:00 a.m until service time at 11:00 a.m. Judy Shannon will be officiating.
