Naomi Elizabeth Christian

Naomi Elizabeth Christian, 87, of Higbee passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Moberly Nursing & Rehab. Naomi was born to Roy William and Elizabeth Myrtle (Grant) Lee on October 27, 1928 in Salisbury, Missouri. She married Charles Christian and they resided in Higbee for many years. Naomi was a cook for Memorial Hospital, Reed’s Corner and was a volunteer grandparent for the Higbee school district. She enjoyed cooking and loved being a grandma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Christian; daughter, Elizabeth Charlene Lewis; sisters: Edna Bracken, Ruth Ganaway, Gertrude Mitchell; and brother Raymond Lee. Survivors include: daughter, Carolyn Green and husband Greg of Columbia; brother, Thomas Lee and wife Jacqueline of Prairie Home, MO; sister, Alva Wilson and husband Woodrow of Colorado Springs, CO; son-in-law, Jerry Lewis of Higbee, MO; 10 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends A visitation will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at noon at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Higbee. Burial will follow at the Higbee City Cemetery. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the family.
