Nichol Marie Pittman Miller, age 52, of Moberly, MO, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at her home.
Nikki-Nik (Granny) was born on March 7, 1973, on the Great Lakes Naval base in Chicago, IL, to Steven Carl Pittman and Denise Lee Cross. She graduated from Argenta Oreana High School and then from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL, in 1997, with a master’s degree in English Literature and a minor in French. In 1995, she moved to Winter Park, FL, and accepted a position at Walt Disney World where she worked for more than one year.
Nichol fought various forms of cancer in the last 10 years. She worked with Bayer Pharmaceuticals, traveling the country, talking about their medication that kept her in remission. When Nichol was diagnosed with cancer three of her best friends and her dad shaved their heads when Nichol shaved hers for chemo.
Nichol loved to knit, but her biggest passion was her children. She also loved to read books, make jellies and jams, and cook. Her family and friends will always remember her for her love for her children and her kindness.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Nancy Lee Cross and Donald Raymond Cross; paternal grandparents, Carl and Dorothy Edwards Pittman; aunt, Debbie Lee Cross; aunt, Janet Langindorf; and cousin, Ryan Pittman.
Nikki is survived by her mother, Denise Lee Cross, of Marion, KY; father, Steven (Sharron) Pittman, of Moberly, MO; son, Austin Noble Miller, of Portland, OR; son, Colton Lee Miller, of Portland, OR; daughter, Lillian Elizabeth Miller, of Portland, OR; and sister, Stephanie Elizabeth Pittman, of St. Louis, MO; brother, Timothy (BrieAna) Pittman, of Moberly, MO; and aunt, Deanna Lee Cross (James) Boyle; uncle, Timothy Allen (Marilyn) Pittman, of Urbana, IL; uncle Michael (Diane) Pittman, of Farmer City, IL; cousin Carla (Don) Sundby, of Petersburg, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
No services are planned at this time.
