Nicola Ann Carr

Nicola Ann Carr, 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born October 19, 1949, in Moberly, the only child of J.W. and Helen (Nickell) Carr. Nikki was a 1967 graduate of the Moberly Junior College lower division and a 1971 and 1994 graduate of Moberly Area Community College with a degree in Nursing. 

Nikki worked as a nurse at the University of Missouri, Columbia, and for 20 years as a recovery room nurse at Moberly Regional Medical Center. In her free time, Nikki volunteered for school carnivals, the Blue Birds, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, the MRMC Children's Christmas party, Central Christian Church Outreach, and any organization that needed help. Nikki’s biggest passion was working on her crafts for hours and days at a time. 

She is survived by Amy (Mark) Hager, Zach (Angie) Richardson, Elanor Sippel, Cate (Eric) Sippel, Paul Dollich, Eric Dollich; grandchildren Draven, Madeline, Katherine, Case, Max and Owen; and daughter In-law, Diane Richardson. 

She is preceded in death by her son, Sam Richardson, and her grandson, Dorian Bentch. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Central Christian Church Outreach Committee. 

Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family at a visitation scheduled for Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon at the Central Christian Church, with a service celebrating Nikki's life at 12 noon.
