Norma Maxine Butler, 92, of Cairo passed away August 5, 2017, at Samaritan Hospital in Macon, MO.
Maxine was born November 27, 1924, in Kimberly, ID to Clinton Ridgeway and Marie (Hulce) Ridgeway. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, two sisters, and one grandson.
On November 27, 1942, she married Herman Ray Butler in Twin Falls, ID. They were married for 74 years and Ray survives Maxine in their home at Cairo.
Other survivors include a son, Larry (Reta) Butler of Pueblo West, CO; a daughter, Nena (Larry) Robuck of Cairo; six grandchildren, Kerry (Mike) Thomas of Cairo, Robert (Gena) Robuck of Cairo, Cynthia Mitchell of Columbia, Michelle (Keith) Hinshaw of Moberly, Wesley (Karen) Butler of Blue Springs, and Amy Jo Butler of Pueblo, Co; ten great grandchildren four great-great grandchildren; extended family and friends.
Maxine enjoyed oil painting, needlework, helping Ray on the farm, and being with her family. She was a member of the First Church of God.
Memorial service will be Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at Pathway Memorial at 12:00 noon with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the First Church of God, 803 Union Ave., Moberly MO 65270.
