Norris Dwayne Specie, 80, of Moberly, MO passed away on Christmas Day with family at his side. He was born on November 4, 1940 in Moberly to Howard Specie and Lenora Mitchell Specie.
Norris was a lifelong resident of Randolph County and a devoted member of North Park Baptist Church where he helped serve as usher. He was always happy to be working and enjoyed his 40 years of employment with Moberly Tool and Die (Dura Automotive) before his retirement. Norris also enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and listening to old time bluegrass music. One of his favorite past times was riding in the car and site seeing all the on-going changes in his community. Norris was a simple soul with a beautiful heart and will be terribly missed.
Norris is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Verlena (Herbert) Clinton of Moberly; nephews, Howard (Lori) Riley of Madison and Jim Riley of Jacksonville; great nephew, Brandon (Katie) Riley of Madison; his church family and friends.
Services celebrating the life of Norris Specie will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at North Park Baptist Church, 401 Franklin Ave., Moberly, MO 65270. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
