Olan Wayne Briscoe, 56 of Moberly, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born May 16, 1959 in Moberly to Larry Wayne Briscoe and Barbara (Harlan) Ronimous.
Olan worked for an auctioneering company and also in construction, jobs that took him many places. He loved to travel. Places he particularly enjoyed were Louisiana, Nebraska, Oklahoma and California where he got to pan for gold. Olan also liked to cook, especially barbequing and smoking meat. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He will be remembered as being super funny and a great story teller!
Olan was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara Ronimous of Madison, MO; his siblings, James Briscoe of Moberly, MO, Debbie (Bob) Hughes of Poplar Bluff, MO, Thomas (Becky) Harrison of Huntsville, MO and Barbara (Jacob) Pope of Portland, OR; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A gathering for friends and family will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home.
