Pearline Faye Barrett, 89, of Moberly passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 at The Bluffs in Columbia. Pearline was born October 4, 1925 to William C. and Clara H. (Rauls) Skaggs in Marquand, Missouri. Pearline and Norman Barrett were married on January 27, 1947 and spent 60 years together before he passed away in 2006. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, a strong believer in her faith, an avid bible reader and a member of several bible studies. She enjoyed needlepoint, quilting, sewing, and was known for her green thumb in her garden where she could make anything grow. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gary and 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Pearline is survived by her son, Ron Barrett and wife Barbara of Columbia; daughter Sheila Rusher and Fran Dougherty of Huntsville; grandchildren: Brad Barrett, Eric Barrett, Josh Barrett, Christopher Barrett and Lisa Rusher; great-grandchildren: Emily, Matthew, Taylor, Nevaeh, and Hayley. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Gerike officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Moberly. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center C/O Assistance Fund or Patient Guest House.
