Peggy Carol Scott

Peggy Carol Scott, 88, of Columbia, Missouri, former long-time resident of Moberly, Missouri, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2021 at Mill Creek Village Senior Living Center in Columbia.

Peggy was born on February 15, 1933 in Livonia, Missouri to Gelbert “Harold” Fowler and Mildred Maye Fowler. Peggy graduated from Hamilton High School in 1951. Peggy enjoyed a long career as a Claims Representative with the Social Security Administration.
Peggy served in leadership positions with the American Business Women’s Association and as Secretary/Treasurer of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church for many years.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, her sister - Helen Hurley, and an infant brother.
Peggy is survived by her three children, Kelley (Michael) Holman of Columbia, Lynne Scott of Springfield, Missouri, and James “Tony” Scott of Columbia; three grandchildren, Amanda (Eric) Schultz, Abby (Adam) Arnette, and Nathan Haggerman; six great-grandchildren, Sophie Schultz, Adeline Arnette, Griffin Schultz, Riker Haggerman, Beckham Arnette, and Brantley Arnette; one niece, Rayne Beane-Oswald, and one great-niece, Faith Keffer.
Funeral services for Peggy will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel, 411 Union Ave., Moberly. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
