Penelope C. Stansberry, 72, of Huntsville, passed away September 21, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Penny was born December 21, 1943 at the Lubbock Air Force Base Hospital in Lubbock, Texas to parents Van Davis Crowson and Emma Maddox Crowson. She lived in many different locales during her lifetime. Penny loved traveling, camping and buying and selling antiques. She had three dogs as well as a cat that she was extremely fond of. She married Ronald Stansberry in Las Vegas on October 2, 1992 and he preceded her in death. Penny worked as an antique dealer for several years and also as a secretary for the law firm of Sidney Whelan in later years.
Penny was preceded in death by her husband Ronald, son Terrence Arnold and her parents.
She is survived by her children; Les Stansberry ( Becky) of Mexico, MO; Julie Garrison (Jeff) of Pleasant Hill, IL, and Janice Dubree of Wisconsin; nieces Paige Hamilton of Torace, CA, Leigh Swain (Carl) of Flat Rock, NC and Emery Hunter of Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild, several great nieces, great nephews, extended family and friends.
Services for Penny will be Monday, September 26, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly followed by interment in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 until time of service.
