Randall R. Cook, 62, of Moberly, passed away October 1, 2021 at Moberly Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
Randy was born on April 2, 1959 in Columbia, MO to Carl Cook and Bonnie McDaniel Cook. He became a lifelong resident of Moberly, MO. Randy was a graduate of Heritage Christian Academy and a long time member of Grace Baptist Church.
He was well known for being active in community policing during the 16 years he served on the Moberly Police Department. Upon leaving the police department, Randy worked as an over the road truck driver for many years.
Randy enjoyed traveling. His favorite place was Hawaii where he and Gail celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. He was adventurous and was extremely happy when he experienced a helicopter ride over Niagara Falls, went on a hot air balloon ride, and went parasailing over the ocean. He loved spending time with family and friends. A few of his other favorite things included riding in his father-in-laws plane, target practice, and playing cards!
Those preceding Randy in death are his parents; his paternal and maternal grandparents and his brother, Gary Cook.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 39 years, Gail Cook of Moberly; daughter, Jennifer (Rhys) Davis of Mexico and son, Kevin (Kimberly) Cook of Moberly; grandchildren, Vivian Davis and Briggs “Huck” Davis both of Mexico and Henry Cook of Moberly; siblings, Cindy (Larry) Kilbourn of Centralia, Jeff Cook of Iola, KS, Carla (Brent) Capper of Gas, KS and Robert (Kerrie) Cook of Hendersonville, TN; extended family and many good friends.
Services celebrating Randy’s life will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
