Richard Shackelford

Richard (Ricky) Adam Shackelford, 52, of Moberly, passed away March 25, 2017 at his home. Ricky was born in Hattiesburg, MS on January 5, 1965 to Richard Baronian Shackelford and Sharon Lynn Robertson. He moved to Moberly with his family when he was six weeks old and spent the rest of his life in the Moberly area, attending Moberly High School. Ricky was very artistic, and created beautiful abstract colored pen drawings. He also played both the guitar and in high school the trombone. He enjoyed all music, especially country and rock and roll. He was fond of motorcycles and Mustang cars. His dog Jinx was a loving and faithful companion, much adored by Ricky. Those preceding Ricky in death are his father, nephew Maximillion Shackelford, grandparents: John and Frances Green, Ben and Frances Shackelford and Russ and Lorene Robertson. He is survived by his sons Micah Adam Shackelford of Macon, MO and Gavin Nathaniel Lee Shackelford of Springfield, MO; mother, Sharon Lynn Hendren; siblings, William Hayes Shackelford of Moberly, Francene Margaret Allgeier (Richard) of Louisville, KY, Rain Modarelli (Frank) of Mobile, AL, Taggert Eagle Shackelford and significant other, Starr Komen of Pensicola, FL, Courtney Anthony and Craig Poole both of Mobile, AL, Carrie Wiggins (Jason) of Gulf Breeze, FL, Mike Hendren (Jennifer) and Bruce Hendren all of Madison, MO; longtime friend Dawna Tatum; extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017 with private inurnment at a later date. Visitation will be from 12:00 until time of service at the funeral home.
