Robert Wayne Dunseith, 84, of Moberly, passed away August 28, 2014 at his home. Robert was born October 23, 1929 in Elmer, Missouri to Robert H. Dunseith and Mary M. Patrick Dunseith. Robert served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. On January 15, 1994 he married Sherry Blattel and she survives of the home. He worked for the Department of Corrections from 1960 until his retirement as a Major in 1991 from the Moberly Correctional Center. Robert was a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion. He especially enjoyed spending time with his “partner in crime” Howard Scott, whom he spent many hours with – hunting rocks (arrowheads) and mushrooms, fishing, hunting and drinking coffee. Robert was also known to spoil his grandchildren, nieces and nephews and great- nephews “rotten”. Those preceding him in death are his two twin granddaughters, Teri and Beth Lehenbauer, his parents, mother-in-law Rose Blattel, and brother-in-law Willie Dennis. He is survived by his wife Sherry, a sister, Colleen Dennis of Moberly; children Marilyn Lehenbauer (Carl) of New London, MO, Greg Dunseith of Moberly, and Mike Dunseith (Debbie) of Joplin, MO; grandchildren Brian Lehenbauer of Madagascar, Lisa Percival (Dave) of Mayview, MO, Matthew Dunseith of Moberly, Mark Dunseith (fiancée Gina) of Oklahoma City, OK, Shelby Dunseith of Macon, MO, Mindy Cupp (Matt) of Springfield, MO and Meghan Sprague (Rob) of Joplin, MO; six great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews , great nephews and friends. Services for Robert will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m., followed by military honors and interment in the Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, P. O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148. Pathway Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
