Robert (Rob) M. Ruble, 57, of Moberly, passed away at Ravenwood Terrace Assisted Living on Sunday, February 15, 2015, in Moberly, MO. On April 5, 1957, he was born to Roy and Hazel Ingersoll Ruble in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
Rob moved with his family to the Moberly area when he was five years old. He graduated from Moberly High School in 1975. Rob also graduated from Linn Technical School in 1977. In 1982, Rob returned to college at the University of Missouri-Rolla and earned a degree in Civil Engineering. Following graduation, he went to work for MoDot.
Rob could play a great game of Tennis and for many years was very much involved in playing Softball. But most of all, his perseverance was evident in his love for Motocross and proud of his #127, in honor of his children who were 1, 2 and 7 yrs. old at the time.
He met his fiancee’ and love of his life, Judy Cummings, in October of 2011 and she survives of the home. Other survivors include his children, John Ruble (Ashley) of Montgomery City, Jennifer, Christopher, and Kaitlyn Ruble, all of Mexico, and his fiancee’s daughter Elizabeth Cummings, with whom he also shared a special bond; grandchildren Aidan, Gracelyn and Karson Ruble, all of Mexico, and countless lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
After retirement, Robert and Judy purchased a small acreage west of Moberly. They enjoyed traveling together and with other friends.
Services for Robert will be Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly. Visitation will be Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 12:00 noon until time of service. Inurnment will be held at Sugar Creek Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the American Lung Association of Eastern Missouri, 1118 Hampton Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63139-3196. Pathway Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
