Robert William “Snuffy” Smith, 62, of Clark, MO, died November 6, 2014. He was born June 13, 1952 in Moberly to George and Hilda Smith. Bob spent his life having fun on the farm with his family and friends. He loved and trained horses for many years and enjoyed cattle farming. He was blessed to do what he loved. Bob served in the United States Army for two years. Then he began working for the State of Missouri as a Corrections Officer, where he worked for eighteen years. After retirement from the state, he began the career he truly loved, training horses and buying and selling cattle. Bob married Sherry Neal on February 7, 1970 in Moberly and she survives of the home. Also surviving is his son Stacey Smith and wife Debbie; daughter Lori (Smith) Wooldridge; four grandchildren: Zackary Smith, Robyn Maag and husband Tim, Brittany Wooldridge and partner Robbie, and Cassidy Smith; two great grandchildren, Leighton and Mckenzie; one sister, Charlotte Guffey and husband Jim of Huntsville; aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Hilda Smith, paternal grandparents John and Rosa Smith, and maternal grandparents, Elmer and Isabelle Kitchen. Services for Robert will be Monday, November 10, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. To honor his request, cremation will be afforded following the service and a private remembrance will take place at a later date. Visitation will be Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the American Cancer Society, 1900 N. Providence Road, Suite 105, Columbia, MO 65202. Pathway Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
