Robert B. Wilson, 82, of Sturgeon passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at his home. Bob was born to the late Charles and Gladys (Flowers) Wilson on April 20, 1931. He worked for the Department of Corrections as a cook for many years before retiring. He served in the United States Army from 1948 until 1954. Bob was a member of the First Christian Church of Sturgeon, and a member of the VFW Post 6276 of Centralia. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and was a Cardinal baseball fan (when they were winning). Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Wilson; several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Bobbie Jackson and husband Ray of Centralia, MO; sons: J.R Wilson and wife Sue of Huntsville, MO, Billy Wilson and wife Koni of Huntsville, MO; brothers: Tommy Wilson of Wichita Falls, TX, Johnny Ray Wilson and wife Lora Ann of Oklahoma City, OK, and Jimmy Wilson of Wichita Falls, TX; sisters: Bobie Goff of Wichita Falls, TX, and Linda Haynes and husband Jimmy of Wichita Falls, TX; grandchildren: Robert Jackson, Ella Jackson, Randy Wilson, Amanda Carnahan, Deven Elliott, Magen Elliott, Scotty Hilton, Josh Hilton, Justin Hilton; 9 great grandchildren and special friend, June Current of Sturgeon. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 4:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 1:00 p.m at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Flanagan officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Moberly with military honors. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks that memorials be made to the VFW Post 6276 in Centralia.
