Ronald Dale Kirk

Ronald Dale “Bo” Kirk, 83, lifelong resident and businessman of Moberly, Missouri, went to be with his Lord and savior on December 13, 2023.

Bo was born the fifth child and only son of Helen and Charles Kirk on August 28, 1940.

He attended Moberly schools, including the junior college and graduated from Central Methodist College where he played football. He then went to St. Louis College of Pharmacy, then became the owner and pharmacist of Burton’s Drug Store until his retirement in 1999.

In 1967 he married Maureen Shanahan and they had one son, Shannon Kirk.

Bo loved studying and teaching the bible, he also taught Sunday school. He was a member of Carpenter Street Baptist Church. His hobby was tennis, he played in Moberly and Florida in the winters after retirement. He served as a volunteer coach with the boys and girls tennis team at Moberly High School.

A funeral service celebrating Bo’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Carpenter Street Baptist Church in Moberly, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Bo’s life are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association 1601 E. Broadway Suite 245, Columbia, MO 65201. The family asks that no food or drinks be brought to the church or to the family home please.
