Ronald Wayne McCreery

Ronald “Wayne” McCreery, 83, of Moberly, Missouri passed away on January 3, 2022 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was born October 6, 1938 in Mexico, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Susan Gauthier “Maw”.

Wayne was a graduate of Moberly High School. He proudly served in the United States Army. Wayne enjoyed playing the banjo and was a member of Brother’s at Heart. When he wasn’t playing the banjo, he enjoyed spending time with his family or fishing with his brothers.

He is survived by one son: Bryan McCreery; two daughters: Becky Frasier (Violet Miramontes) and Frankie Sturtevant; siblings: Frank Wilson, David Wilson (Tammy), Brenda Scrogin, Barb Dubree, Kay Snodgrass (Dennis) and Gay Drake (Tim); grandchildren: Zach McCreery, Ryan McCreery, Andrea Paige, Courtney Simmons,
Breanna Sturtevant, Dezarae Rogers and Mariah Mendoza; great grandchildren: Marley Williams and Raylei Paige.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Ralph and Betty McCreery and Lorene and Joe Wilson; son: Ronald McCreery and brothers: Donald, Larry and Freddy McCreery.

A visitation for Wayne will be held from 10-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel followed by a celebration of life including banjo picking and a sharing of memories starting at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri.
