Ronald Virgil Silkwood, 69, of Clifton Hill, passed away September 6, 2015 in Lexington, MO. Ronald was born July 19, 1946 in Braymer, MO to Virgil Eston Silkwood and Reba Nadine Clevenger Silkwood. He married Marsha Jackson Devenport in Liberty, Tx on December 15, 1981. Ronald worked as a heavy equipment operator for pipeline companies before retiring in 2014. He had resided in the Moberly and Clifton Hill area for thirty-two years. He belonged to the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Moberly, and loved to train and break horses. Ronald enjoyed socializing with friends while camping and trail riding.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife Marsha; mother Reba; sister Sandy Etherton (Jack) of Liberty, MO; children, Mechelle Renea Thompson (Jason) of Lathrop, MO, Ronald Scott Silkwood (Gina) of Hamilton, MO, and Clinton Matthew Devenport (Sherry) of Moberly, MO; seventeen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, extended family and many friends.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly. Memorial Contributions would be appreciated to the American Cancer Society, 1900 N. Providence Road, suite 105, Columbia, Mo 65202.
