Ronald Fayne Wilson

Ronald Fayne Wilson, age 61, of Moberly, Missouri passed away on August 31, 2023, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Ron was born on August 2, 1962, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, to Gordon and Bessie (Stephenson) Wilson Sr.

He graduated from Excelsior Springs High School and from DeVry Institute in Kansas City, MO, in 1987 as a Tech Major. He worked in IT technical support for over 20 years.

As a child he was a member of the Church of Christ in Excelsior Springs, MO. Ron was a current member of the First Assembly of God in Moberly, MO. He was also a part of the church security team.

He married Anna Janice Avery on November 1, 2016, in Moberly, Missouri.

Ron loved riding motorcycles most of all! He also enjoyed playing scrabble, singing, and sitting around the fire pit reminiscing. His family and friends will always remember him as a being quick witted.

Ron loved his collection of STUFF. If you needed something, he probably had it!

One of the many admirable things about Ron is that even through all of his illness, he always managed to stay positive and keep his upbeat personality.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gordon Ray Wilson Sr.; brother, Gordon “Butch” Ray Wilson Jr. and sister, Diana Lynn McGoine.

Ron is survived by his wife, Anna “Jan” Wilson of Moberly, MO; mother, Bessie Idelia Wilson of Mayview, MO; children, Sara Ray Wilson of Kansas City, MO, Tracina (Terry) Shaw of New Bloomfield, MO and Jerrod (Kelsey) Downing Jr.; four grandchildren, Hoon Lee Shaw, Rutger Shaw, Lyla Dean and Penelope Jo Downing; siblings, Becky (John) Kueck of Mayview, MO and Linda (Kent) Mangels of Kearney, MO; extended family and friends.

A celebration of life in honor of Ronald’s life will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m at the Church of Christ in Excelsior Springs, MO. A second celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the First Assembly of God in Moberly, MO.
