Roy Hess

Roy (Rocky) William Hess, 56, of Huntsville, passed away at his home August 7, 2016. Roy was born July 11, 1960 in Moberly, MO to Roy Albert and Frances Ann Hess. He attended Moberly public school and graduated from Moberly Community College, where he maintained a 4.0 grade average. Roy was employed at Mackpro in Moberly. He enjoyed collecting coins, fishing, reading, and especially family dinners. He was a Christian and his family takes comfort in knowing he has joined Jesus, his parents and other loved ones in Heaven. Those preceding Roy in death are his parents, Roy A. and Frances A. Hess and a brother-in-law, Neil Peterson. He is survived by his sisters, Sarah Peterson and Shirley (Alan) Friedly all of Huntsville; brother Paul (Alice) Hess of Cairo; nieces Pam (Mike) Hopper of Huntsville, Amber Risch of Moberly and AshLee Chapman of Boonville; nephew Patrick Hess of Cairo; great nieces Bailey Hopper of Huntsville and Kadance Taylor of Boonville; great nephews Logan Hopper of Huntsville and Braxton Hess of Palmyra; aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family and friends. Services celebrating Roy’s life will be held Saturday August 13, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly with interment to follow at Hagar Cemetery in Huntsville. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Reverend Terrie Hay will officiate.
