Ruby B. Lear

Ruby B. Lear, 89, of Madison passed away on Thursday November 12, 2015 at the Moberly Regional Medical Center. She was born to Robert and Margaret (Johnson) Burnett on July 3, 1926 in Monroe County, Missouri. Ruby married Charles Lake in 1942 and was married 26 years before he preceded her death. She later married Roy Lear in 1977 and he also preceded her in death. Ruby was preceded in death by her brothers: Robert Burnett, Cecil LeGrand; sisters: Lillie Wheelbarger, Goldie Davies, Mary Ann Girtin, Bessie LeGrand, Lucille Campbell, Bertha Turpin, and Edna Green; son, Charles Wayne Lake; and one grandchild, Michael Bolin. Survivors include: son, Richard Lake of Madison, MO; daughters: Velma Joyce Bolin and Mike McCann of Madison, MO, and Brenda Umstattd and husband Tom of Lohman, MO; grandchildren: Lynn (Kevin) Darst, Christopher (Marilyn) Umstattd, Angela (Brian) Schmutz; and one great grandchild: Thomas Schmutz. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Madison, MO.
