Ruth Rout

Ruth Ellen Rout, 81, of Moberly, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Moberly Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born February 22, 1934 in Evening Shade, AR to Auden Lee Powell and Esther Carpenter Powell. Ruth married Coolidge E. Rout in Mountain Home, AR. She was baptized into the Baptist Church and worked as a nurse’s aid and also as a factory worker over twenty years. She adored and enjoyed all of her grandchildren. She loved being on the farm and tending cattle. She enjoyed reading and watching old movies. She liked all forms of gardening but flowers were her favorites. Those preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, siblings, A. L. Powell, Eudene Parrott, Lotus Powell and W. O. Powell and grandson, Phillip Davis. Survivors include her children, Chester, Sue Ellen, Marty and Loretta; siblings, Donna and Darrell Moody of Georgia, Tony Powell of Arkansas, Mary Weber of Texas and Patsy Powell of Kansas; grandchildren, Naomi, Amanda, Jessica, Candace, Chelsea, Collten, Carissa and Brandon as well as several beloved great grandchildren. Services celebrating Ruth’s life will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne, AR. Interment will follow at Reeves Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
