Sarah Vasse

Sarah S. Vasse, 94, passed away at Macon Health Care Center in Macon, MO on February 1, 2018. She had been a resident of Meadow Ridge Estates in Moberly, MO for the past ten years before health concerns necessitated her relocation to Macon. Sarah was born December 30, 1923 in Edwardsville, IL to Frederic Springer and Florence Tiemann Springer. She graduated from high school in Edwardsville, IL. She then attended Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY and graduate school at the University of Chicago in IL. She was united in marriage to W. D. Vasse who preceded her in death. Sarah taught mathematics at the Moberly Area Junior College in Moberly, MO for many years. She was a member of chapter AK P.E.O Sisterhood. Those preceding her in death are her parents, her husband and sister, Eleanor Brown of Madison, WI. Sarah is survived by a sister, Helen Cadoret of St. Louis, MO and her nieces and nephews. In honor of her wishes, Sarah was cremated and private family services will be held at a later date.
