Sarah “Dixie” Jean Votsch, 73, of Moberly, Missouri, formerly of Springfield, Missouri, beloved wife of Rudolph Votsch, loving mother of Wendi Johnston, Tammy Trostel and Shane Dickerson, dear daughter of Frances Southern and Hazel (Poe) Nash, sister to John Southern and the late William Southern and dear friend to many; passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021.
Dixie was born on July 31, 1947 in Forth Worth, Texas to Frances and Hazel. She was an active member of the Gallaway Full Gospel in Springfield, Missouri. In her spare time, she loved to read the bible and more than anything, spending time with her grandkids. She was an excellent guitar player and had a beautiful voice. Everyone loved to hear her play and sing. Sarah lived a wonderful life, touching the lives of all that she met. She will be greatly missed.
Dixie is preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph; parents, Frances and Hazel, brother, John Southern.
Survivors include her children, Wendi (Justin) Johnson of Moberly, Tammy Trostel of Springfield and Shane Dickerson; brother, William Southern, Springfield; grandchildren, Chrissy Graves Mozingo, Matthew Graves, Jacob Graves, Shelbi Siler, Ashlee Wofford, Justis Johnston, Jessi Johnston, Journey Johnston, Dakota Davis and Sara Deon; great grandchildren, Mason Graves, Justyn Graves and Pholson Graves; extended family and close friends.
Services celebrating Sarah’s life will be held at a later date.
