Scott Allen Oliver, 51, of Moberly, Missouri passed away unexpectedly on June 14, 2024 at his home. Scott was born on May 25, 1973 in Columbia, MO to James and Linda Oliver.

Scott received his GED from “Pen State” and then accepted a position as a construction worker with Nemow Insulation where he worked for more than 20 years. He was united in marriage to Krista Peterson on May 17, 2003 in Columbia, MO.

Scott was an amazing father and friend. He thoroughly enjoyed watching his granddaughters play, sitting outside listening to music while having a cold drink, cooking, BBQing, mushroom hunting, or just giving you a call just to check in. He will always be remembered by everyone for his tough love, sense of humor, big heart, and always having an open door at his home! Scott was known for giving you his honest and unfiltered opinion and he never met a stranger. He will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Oliver, and step-father, Bill.

Scott is survived by his wife, Krista of Moberly, MO, father-in-law Bill, and mother-in-law Linda, Moberly, MO, daughter Lindsay (Garth) Baker, Moberly, MO and granddaughters Valerie and Aria Baker. Siblings, Richard (Janet) Oliver, Gravois Mills, MO, Chris (Buffy) Whitehead, Centralia, MO, and David Whitehead. Nieces and nephews, Sierra Whitehead, Jacob (Bailey) Whitehead, Alex Oliver, Tyrell Obryan, Cody (Stevie) Obryan, Alex (Madison) Baker, Alyssa (Noah) Baker. Many lifelong friends whom were considered family and “unofficial” kids of his, along with his dog Stella.

A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for June 22, 2024 at 4 p.m. at Scott’s home in Moberly, MO.
