Shelby Janelle Wilson, 28, of Moberly, Missouri, lost her battle to depression on July 13, 2024. She was born October 11, 1995, in Moberly, Missouri, to Dysart and Tracy Wilson.
Shelby was a 2014 graduate of Westran High School. She was employed with the Department of Corrections at Moberly Correctional Center as a clerk in the Business Office.
Shelby finally found the love of her life when she gave birth to her beautiful baby girl, Makenna Grace Troyer, on August 12, 2021. Makenna was her world. Shelby enjoyed music and especially loved attending concerts with friends. She also loved hanging out with friends and family. Shelby will greatly be missed by all who loved her. Shelby’s legacy will live on through Makenna who will never forget how much her mommy loved her.
Shelby was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Thomas and Marlene O’Brink of Sedalia, Missouri; her paternal grandparents James and Janelle Wilson of Huntsville, Missouri; her dearly loved father Dysart E.Wilson; and her brother Paul Thomas George.
Survivors include her daughter Makenna Grace Troyer; her mother and stepfather Tracy Menaugh (Barin) of Moberly; her sister Marly Wilson of Columbia; her brother Matthew George (Sydney) of Huntsville; her stepbrother Coleton Menaugh (Kelsey); her fun-loving nephew Nash Christopher George; and nieces Palmer Elizabeth George and Hadley Layne Menaugh.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
