Always curious about the world and those around her, she was a great listener, and she enjoyed visiting new places, traveling extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad. In all the places she called home, Shirley was a beloved member of her community and church.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas DeVos; parents, Chancey and Etta Pettengill; sister, Carol Meeker and grandson, Michael Jacob Lamme.
