Stanley Moore

Stanley Moore, 83, of Moberly passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Valley View Health and Rehabilitation in Moberly. Stan was born on November 1, 1930 to Charlie and Edith (Perry) Moore. He was one of six children. Stan married Patricia in 1949 and had six children of their own; Robert Wayne Moore, Joyce Moore, William Ray Moore, Dennis Eugene Moore and Linda Moore. Stanley was the owner operator of Stan's Tires for many years. He was known for mowing yards all over Moberly. Stan later married Carol Fifer in 1990. Although they were divorced in 1995, they remained best friends and companions. Stan will always be remembered for his sense of humor, jokes and his love of people. He was preceded in death by his son, William Ray Moore; grandson, Garrett Evan Moore; and step-grandson, Joey Dale Fifer. Stan is survived by his previous wife, Carol Moore of Mobery; sons: Robert Moore and wife Sue of Walla Walla, WA; Dennis Moore of Higbee; daughters: Linda Yates of Moberly, Jo Miller of Sedalia; brother, Frank Moore of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Mary Conley of Omaha, NE; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 7 step-children; 16 step-grandchildren; and 16 step-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014 from 10:00 a.m until service time at 12:00 p.m at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly with Brother Dave Crutchfield officiating. Burial will follow at Huntsville City Cemetery. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's hospital.
