Stephen Shaw Wyman, 72, of Macon, MO passed away unexpectedly at his home on November 17, 2017.
Steve was born on August 1, 1945 in Providence, RI to Joe Wyman and Marion Kennedy Wyman. He graduated from Brown High School and the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was proud to serve his country as a Captain in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1975. In 1979 he moved to Denver, CO and spent the last 21 years of his career as a pilot with Continental Airlines.
Steve married Candace Harte on August 26, 1978 in Littleton, CO. He was active in flying Radio Control airplanes and a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). Steve enjoyed building and flying airplanes. He built model airplanes from scratch and two homebuilt experimental airplanes; a RANS S7 and a VANS RV-12 which are still being flown. He also enjoyed wood working, shooting, cooking, and reading.
His family and friends will always remember him for “Chasing his Dreams”. The man never worked a day in his life because his career was his passion!
Steve was preceded in death by his parents and son, Case Densmore (Wyman).
Survivors include his wife, Candace Wyman of Macon; his sons, Mark Densmore (Wyman) of Phoenix, AZ and Zack Wyman of Macon, MO; daughter, Jennifer Wyman of Denver, CO; beloved grandchildren, Brooks Wyman and Libby Wyman both of Macon, MO, Elise Densmore and Eddie Densmore both of Phoenix, AZ; extended family and friends.
A memorial service celebrating Steve’s life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Callao Christian Church in Callao, MO at 11:00 a.m. Military honors will be afforded at the conclusion of the service. A carry-in lunch will be served following the service.
