Steven Anthony Rowe

Steven Anthony Rowe, 33, of Columbia, MO passed away on January 24, 2022 after a heroic and hard-fought battle against cancer.

Steven embraced life in a way few people ever do, and many wish they had. He lived his life fully, without compromise or regret. To meet Steven was to remember him always, and to truly know him was to love him deeply.

Steven expressed his exuberance for life through his avid guitar-playing and love of music, his boundary-defying sense of humor, fierce loyalty to his family and friends, honorable service to his country, his genuine love for animals, and his inspiring passion for physical fitness.

Born in Chicago, IL, Steven moved to Moberly, MO with his family in 1992 where he attended school and worshipped his Lord as a devout Catholic at Saint Pius X School and Church. Steven was a 2007 graduate of Moberly Senior High School and enlisted in the Missouri National Guard in 2010. Steven deployed to Guatemala in 2012 and Afghanistan in 2013 with the 1438th Engineer Company of Macon, MO and returned to his country in 2014 to ultimately serve as an active-duty member of the 7th WMD-Civil Support Team where he held the rank of Staff Sergeant at the Missouri National Guard Flight Facility in Jefferson City, MO.

An intensely-beloved father, son, brother and uncle, Steven is survived by his son, Coah Anthony Rowe, parents Timothy and Tina Rowe of Moberly, MO, brother and sister-in-law Timothy and Christina Rowe, also of Moberly, MO, and his dear niece, Sophia Rowe.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Saint Pius X Church, 209 S. Williams St., Moberly from 10:00am until 12:00pm, at which time Mass will commence. Graveside service with full military honors to immediately follow at Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Moberly.
