Susie Virginia Ash

Susie V. (Flickinger) Ash, 95, of Moberly passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 at the Macon Health Care Center. Susie was born September 23, 1921 to Daniel Price and Hattie V. (Baker) Day in Carrington, Missouri. She worked for many years at Westlake Hardware as the Head of the Paint Department. Susie was a founding member of the First Christian Church in Moberly and attended there her whole life. She was also a member of American Business Women’s Association. Susie enjoyed painting, gardening, loved flowers, and she was fond of family history and going through old photos. Susie was preceded in death by her former husband, Bud Andy Flickinger; 3 sisters; and 2 brothers. Survivors include her sons: Forest (Debbie) Flickinger of Liberty, Missouri and Walter (Margaret) Flickinger of Moberly, Missouri; daughter, Mary Sue (Darrell) Witmer of Deming, New Mexico; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jay Self officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
