Terry Wayne Bensley, 66, of Moberly, passed away March 13, 2016 in Weaubleau, MO. He was born November 17, 1949 in Des Moines, Iowa to Marion Bensley and Carmen Parks Hackett. Terry honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict from June of 1970 until January of 1972. He received both a National Defense Service medal and a Good Conduct medal. Terry was a retired truck driver and loved to travel. He divided his time between Randolph, Audrain and Henry County. He was a member of Middle Grove Baptist Church but had been attending church in Henry County. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, corvettes, visiting family and NASCAR. He especially enjoyed being with his family. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Bensley and Gene and Carmen Hackett; grandparents, including special grandparents, Homar Henry Parks and Ruby Mae Parks; and grand-daughter Cambree Bensley. Survivors include his siblings: Todd Bensley of Versailles, MO, Sherry Rifenberg (Richard Bennett), Neosho, MO, Jackie Embree (Greg) of Georgia, Hollis Bensley (Viola), Lake of the Ozarks, Michael Bensley (Lillian) of North Carolina and Jimmy Bensley of Georgia; children Beth Roberts (Jack) and Chad Bensley all of Centralia, Kristy DeOrnellas (Justin) of Paris, MO, and Shawn Bensley (Ashley) of Moberly; grandchildren Lesleah Nowlin (Ray), Lisa Roberts, Addison Bensley, and Bella Rose Bensley, many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family and best friend, Joe Donaldson. A memorial funeral service will be held Friday, March 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Inurnment with full military honors will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
