Tommy Warren Harmon, 74, of Huntsville, MO passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born January 24, 1946 in Macon, IL to Charles C. Harmon and Madge Margaret (Kerr) Harmon.
Tommy has lived in the Randolph County area since 2004. Moving here from Decatur, IL; where he married Sheila Harmon in 1975, and to this union, Cathy Harmon was born.
Tommy was a Vietnam War veteran, serving honorably overseas in Okinawa Japan. When he returned home, he began working as an engineer for Norfolk Southern, having worked there for 33 years, he retired in 2004. In his free time, Tom would tend to his livestock and was an avid NASCAR enthusiast; however, he especially loved spending time with his terrier mix, Jackson Andrew. Jack was his “little sidekick” for over 13 years. Tommy will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Madge and all of his siblings. Tom was the youngest out of seven.
Survivors include his daughter, Cathy Harmon; former wife, Sheila Harmon; trusty sidekick, Jack; extended family and close friends.
