Twila Sue Ray-Conner

In the early hours of Sunday, November 17, 2024, Twila Sue Conner passed from this life into the loving arms of Jesus. We take great comfort in knowing that she is now out of pain from cancer and residing in her eternal home in heaven; knowing that her mother, Eva Davis, and Grandparents were awaiting her arrival. 

Twila was born on December 14, 1960, in Columbia, Missouri. She grew up in Georgia and California and graduated from Los Medanos College with a degree in computer science. For 26 years, Twila was the director of Quality Control for Prosurg Medical Systems in San Jose, California. She was always an advocate for those in need and a friend to almost everyone. She had a heart of gold, a great sense of humor and a skill for storytelling. She had a knack for fixing up cars and loved fishing, getting a good bargain and spending time with family & friends.

 In 2021, Twila and Ed relocated from California to Moberly. Twila spent almost every summer, during her youth, in Moberly, with her grandparents as well as living here in the 90’s. It was her dream to retire here and live in her grandparents’ family home. 

Twila leaves behind her husband of 27 years, Edwin Conner; a son - Thomas Wesley Ray; stepdaughters - Raven (Christian) Patterson and Paige (Shane) Capley; her father - Raymond Davis; siblings - Melinda Embree, Cheryl & Brian Matthews, Vicky Keith; Cousins that are like siblings - Karen Gonzales, Cynthia Cantrell, and Roger Buitrago; Grandchildren - Edgar & Tobias Ray, Sadie & Aiden Baker, Charley & Christina Elias, and Amity & Luke Capley; Nieces & Nephews – Nathan Embree, Ashley Hodges, Alexandria Stom, Tiffany Donovan, Ellie Matthews; as well as many other family members.

A Funeral Service to honor Twila's life will be held Friday, November 22, 2024, at 2 pm. – Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel, Moberly, Missouri. Visitation will be from 1 - 2 pm before the service.

Our loss is heaven’s gain. Twila was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.
