Vickie Elizabeth Ancell, 91, of Moberly passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at her daughter’s home. She was born December 22, 1930 in London, England to Charles Dean Thomas and Emma Hayford Thomas Dickerson. She came from London, England to Missouri in 1946 at the age of 15 and attended Madison High School before moving to Moberly to work at the hospital. Vickie and Marvin R. Ancell married July 18, 1948 in Moberly, MO. Vickie worked at Woodland Hospital in Moberly as a nurse’s aid, in retail at Patterson’s department store and Marvin’s furniture store which she and her late husband owned. She was also an amazing homemaker providing for her husband and children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Emma Thomas; husband, Marvin Ancell; one son, Michael Ancell; brother, Charles Thomas and two sisters, Doris Block and Shirley Wright. Vickie is survived by her daughter, Linda K. Truesdell and husband Howard of Moberly, MO; three grandchildren, Wendi Utterback and husband Kevin of Jonesborough, TN, Tyler Truesdell and wife Stephany of Camdenton, MO, Royce Ancell of Moberly, MO; great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Utterback of Cookeville, TN, Katelyn Utterback of Jonesborough, TN, Ethan Truesdell, Fox Truesdell, Brielle Truesdell all of Camdenton, MO, Payton Ancell, Ashlynn Ancell both of Moberly, MO; sister, Violet Winn and husband Gary of Old Milton, MO; brothers, Thomas Dickerson and wife Amy of Holliday, MO, Dennis Dickerson and wife Brenda of Paris, MO; sister-in-law, Sue Ancell Hackett of Moberly, MO; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at Million Taylor Funeral Home with officiate, Pastor William Gaines. A private burial will be held at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville, MO. In lieu of customary remembrances the family asks memorial contributions in Vickies honor are sent to the Wreaths across America c/o Million Taylor Funeral Home, 320 S.
