Vickye Head

Vickye Lesta Head, 77, of Moberly, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015. She was born September 6, 1938 in Moberly to Wallace King Burrus and Mildred McCanne Burrus. On April 17, 1961 she married Vernon Head. Vickye worked as a receptionist for Beltone Hearing Aid for many years before her retirement and she was a member of the First Christian Church in Moberly. Vickye was a gregarious person. She could never be mistaken as shy! She was a member of the Randolph County Saddle Club, enjoyed trail riding, and loved anything and everything that had to do with horses. Vickye was an avid reader, and enjoyed facebooking (once her daughter showed her how), scrapbooking, shopping, and pets. She was absolutely crazy about her beloved grandchildren. Those preceding her in death are her parents. Survivors include her husband; her daughter, Ginger and Ben Albright; her grandchildren, Adrian Albright and Paige Albright all of Moberly; Siblings, Donald and Jan Burrus of Illinois, Ande and Michael Spears of Moberly and Mike and Donna Burrus of Cairo; cousin, Ron and Marilyn Slaughter of Sunset Beach, MO as well as numerous friends all of whom will miss her dearly. Services celebrating Vickye’s life will be held Friday, December 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday December 11, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
