Virginia Jo Garrott

Virginia Jo Garrott, 69 of Moberly, MO passed away unexpectedly on March 4, 2022 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.

She was born on July 31, 1952 in Moberly, MO to Charles and Zella Waterfield.  Virginia was a graduate of Moberly High School, Class of 1970.  After high school she accepted a position as a Customer Service Representative for Sam’s Healthmart.  Virginia was a familiar face to Sam’s customer’s, serving in her position for more than 40 years.  She was a kind hearted and generous woman who will be missed by all who knew her.

On January 9, 1985, Virginia married Celtus Garrott in Las Vegas, NV and the two spent 37 wonderful years together. 

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Zella Waterfield and two brothers, Pat Waterfield and Larry Waterfield.

She is survived by her husband, Cletus Garrott of Moberly, MO; her daughter, Ashley (Brady) Smith of Columbia, MO; granddaughter, Caroline Jo Smith of Columbia, MO; extended family and friends.

Friends will be received on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with funeral services for Virginia will begin at 2:00 p.m at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly, MO.  Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Moberly, MO.
