Wallace Eugene Harlan, 84, of Moberly, passed away at Boone Hospital on October 29, 2016.
Wallace was born November 21, 1931 in Jacksonville, MO to Ural Harlan and Lillian Cavanaugh.
He moved to Moberly from Kansas in 2002. He was an over-the-road truck driver for over twenty years and although he retired several times, he kept returning to work. Wallace was married to Agnes Rowe who preceded him in death. To that union four sons were born. He later married Ilene Harlan who also preceded him in death.
Wallace enjoyed reading and deer hunting. He loved Westerns and he often spoke about his childhood with fond memories.
Those preceding him in death are his parents; his first wife, Agnes Rowe; his second wife, Ilene Harlan; his brother, Donnie Harlan and his sister, Dorothy Colley.
He is survived by his sons Russell (Karen) Harlan, Jeff (Carol) Harlan, Wayne (Theresa) all of Moberly and Greg (Cherry) Harlan of California; grandchildren Jennifer Shields, Caleb Harlan, Serena, Christian and Seth Stockwell, Brittany and Kami Brown, Nenette San Nicolas, Tsuyoshi Shinzato, Cathy Harlan and Randy Harlan; great grandchildren, Xavier and Carter Cable, Adien Stockwell, Trenton, William, Eli and Alexander Shields, Brandon Shinzato, Adam San Nicolas and Irene Harlan.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Wallace’s life will be held Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home.
