Wanda Grace Lowery, 85, of Moberly, most recently of Columbia, passed away at the Bluffs on November 15, 2017. Wanda was born in Leonard, Missouri on October 2, 1932 to Alfred Beckley and Esther Schwada Beckley. She was married to John Edward Lowery on December 28, 1950 in Clarence, Missouri. Wanda moved to the Moberly area in 1968 and relocated to Columbia in 2012. She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Moberly. Wanda loved making pies and cakes and she made each of the guys in her family German Chocolate cakes for their birthdays. She and John enjoyed traveling and spent many enjoyable vacations in Branson and Florida. She especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those preceding Wanda in death are her parents; husband; brothers Wendell Beckley, Don Beckley, and sister Wilma “Beckley” Searcy. She is survived by her children, Linda (Scott) Davis, Moberly, Mark (Debbie) Lowery, Moberly, James (Lea Ann) Lowery of Columbia and Ellen Lowery, Columbia; grandchildren, Megan (Matt) Lucas, Moberly, Jared Davis, Portland, OR, Michelle Lowery, Columbia, Daniel Lowery, St. Charles, Melissa Lowery, Columbia, Tyler Brittain, Lees Summit; great-grandchildren, Noah, Brant, and Cash Lucas all of Moberly, extended family and friends. Services celebrating Wanda’s life will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery in Clarence. Visitation will be held Monday, November 20, 2017 from 12:00 noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Woodhaven Learning Center, 1405 Hamilton Place, Columbia, MO 65201.
