Wilce Allen Swindler, 70, of Columbia, Mo, passed away May 17, 2016. He was born on May 14, 1946 to Wilce Alford Swindler and Velma Ruth Swindler in Humansville, MO.
Wilce grew up in southwest Missouri. He served his country honorably in the U. S. Air Force. He later relocated to the Stephens/Columbia area in 1974. He was a member of the North Callaway volunteer Fire Department. Wilce owned his own garage for a time and enjoyed tinkering with cars and trucks. He also loved anything to do with being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
Those preceding him in death are his father, his sister, Linda Carpenter, his grandson, Wesley Swindler and granddaughter, Sydney Thorp.
Survivors include his mother, Velma Swindler of Fulton, MO; his children, Darla Swindler, Kari Burley and Wayne Swindler all of Columbia; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
A memorial celebration in Wilce’s honor will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at the Stephens Community Center in Stephens, MO at 4:30 p.m.
