Wilder Faye Montgomery

Wilder Faye Montgomery, 92, formerly of Huntsville passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Macon Health Care, Macon, Missouri. Wilder was born in Hankamer, Texas on June 19, 1925 to Ester Lee and Catherine S. (Christiansen) Speights. She and Cordus Lenville Montgomery were married on February 24, 1945 and celebrated 50 years together before he preceded her in death on February 21, 1996. During her career, she was a nurse's aid for several different nursing homes. She enjoyed quilting, doing puzzles, playing cards and dominos. She loved traveling and visiting with friends. Survivors include her sons: Harold (Linda) Montgomery of Moberly, Missouri, and Freddy (Rhonda) Montgomery of Huntsville, Missouri; daughters: Vickie (David) Haley of Moberly, Missouri, Dianna (Drew) Waller of Streetsboro, Ohio, LaDonna Hinshaw of New Braunfels, Texas, Karen (Bernard) Morgan of Huntsville, Missouri, and Gina Raney of Clifton Hill, Missouri; brother, Earl Speights of Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. A visitation will take place on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Karen Shearer officiating at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. Burial will follow at the Huntsville City Cemetery.
