William "BG" Eugene Howard

William (BG) Eugene Howard, age 58, of Moberly, MO, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, on April 27, 2023, at his home surrounded by family. He was born on October 7, 1964, in Moberly, MO, the son of Tom and Linda (Avery) Howard.

BG was born and grew up in Moberly, MO. He went to Moberly Senior High school and graduated in 1983. BG began working with Norfolk Southern Railroad in 1988, where he later retired in 2022 after 34 years of service. BG enjoyed fishing and camping at Bennett Springs, his yearly fishing trip with his buddies, deer hunting, recently took up snagging at the Lake of the Ozarks, traveling to casinos to gamble. BG’s family and friends will always remember him for his sense of humor and burnt cooking.

BG is survived by daughter, Hannah Howard of Moberly, MO; son, Benjamin Howard of Moberly, MO; father, Tom Howard, of Moberly, MO; brother, Mark (Candace) Howard of Centralia, MO; sister, Tricia (Brian) Pace of Centralia, MO; better half, Tonja Kinder along with her children, Jeffrey Kinder of Great Falls, MT, KeAnna (Tommy Prather) Kinder of Moberly, MO, Karrlana (Riley White) Kinder of Moberly, MO and Jarrett Kinder of Moberly, MO; many aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces; nephews and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy (Huntsman) Howard; mom, Linda (Avery) Howard; brother, Gary Wayne; grandparents, Chester and Helen Howard and Bill and Helen Avery.

A funeral service celebrating BG’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly, MO with interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery in Moberly, MO. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly.
